Portrait of Joseph Roulin
Joseph Roulin was the local postman in Arles while van Gogh stayed there for a while, he was also a close friend who would often sit for portraits for van Gogh. This portrait places the postman on a floral background with brilliant green hues and pops of color, complimenting his rosy cheeks and blue accents.
